Just a bit of good news I recieved in my in box a few days ago regarding a paper I had submitted to our Philosophy Conference at SUNY Oneonta.
Dear Jeremy,
Congratulations! Your paper has been accepted for presentation at Oneonta’s Twelfth Annual Undergraduate Philosophy Conference (April 26-28). We are always impressed with the quality of submissions, and this year has been no exception. Participants represent a delightful array of prestigious institutions throughout North America.
Given a record number of submissions, we found ourselves declining some extremely interesting papers that would have merited acceptance only a few years ago. As such, we must ask you to confirm your participation by Monday, March 26. A simple email or phone call will suffice.... (letter then begins talking stuff related to the conference, such as making travel arrangements to Oneonta, that you really don't need to know, and I'd just be wasting your time if I included it)
