I\\\'m
getting
paid
too
much...
but
don\\\'t
tell
my
boss
that!
My job in a nutshell:
2:30pm-2:45 attend afternoon meeting
2:45-3:00 catch up with girl who does my job during day
3-4 Wait for something interesting to happen
4-7 Absolute mayhem
7-9 Wait for something interesting to happen
9-9:30 work
9:30-11 Wait for something interesting to happen
11-11:30 Work
You see that? I spend about 4 1/2 hours actually working at my job. It's insane. I literally sit at my computer the rest of the time, listening to tunes on low and keeping an ear out for the assignment desk or a breaking news email. It's crazy. I come home at midnight, and I'm not behind on any of my internet surfing because the day is so slow.
The 4-7 time is HECTIC. I do most of my work in that time. However, from 7-11:30 I have the same amount of work as I do in the 4-7 time period to do... but, I have an extra hour and a half to do it in with fewer distractions. It's insane.
I try to get to bed around 2am so I can be up around 10am. Then, I have a few hours to do things before I have to go to work... Tmra, I actually have to be at my other job before my full-time job. LOL. And, wedding plans are continuing... and RSVPing to friends' weddings.. MADNESS I tell you. And house searching! GAH!
Seriously, I get paid too much to do what I do. I love it. I love my job. I love that I'm getting more money than I expected as a kid BASICALLY fresh out of college... And, from 4-7 I am EARNING that money. But, the rest of the time, it's so laid back! So quiet. So little stress! It's... confusing. :)
Sexual harassment training was today and I couldn't stop LAUGHING at the video. I tried not to, but it was so poorly produced. My minor was in film, and I kept shaking my head, thinking, "We could have done better than this at University." And, considering how bad my school's film department was, that's saying something. LOL.
Well, off to shower and otherwise prepare for bed. Tomorrow, I get up and do it all over again... just with different news stories that are basically all the same.
